Josh Cote

French Horn- Josh has performed the French horn with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, and Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Sarasota Orchestra, Virginia Symphony, and Delaware Symphony Orchestra. He has spent his summers at the Tanglewood Music Center, Pacific Music Festival, Festival Mozaic, Spoleto USA Festival, Music Academy of the West and the National Repertory Orchestra. Josh began his music studies at Southern Methodist University in Dallas studying with Greg Hustis, spent a winter in Oslo Norwary learning from Froydis de Wikre, moved to Los Angeles where he studied at the Colburn Conservatory of Music with Andrew Bain, principal horn of the LA Philharmonic. He then spent two years at the New World Symphony as a horn fellow under Michael Tilson Thomas. After winning fourth horn of the Sarasota Orchestra and playing a season, Josh moved to Philadelphia to marry his life long love and current CHOP resident, Evelyn. Josh recently won Principal Horn of the Reading Symphony Orchestra and Annapolis Symphony Orchestra and appears with many of the region's orchestras. Outside the concert hall, Josh maintains a large private studio and is currently Play On Philly's resident horn Teaching Artist.
